Sports Coach – Bachelor with Honors

The main objective of this undergraduate course is the education of graduate coaches through the acquisition of modern theoretical and practically applicable knowledge and skills for successful professional work in sports organizations.

The structure of the course is designed in accordance with international higher education institution. It is in accordance with the existing level of development in the field of physical education and sport in the Republic of Serbia, based on the Bologna Declaration and in accordance with the requirements arising from the practical application of knowledge necessary to this area.

The structure set in this way will enable future graduate coaches involvement in developing and improving of professional sport, mass sport, which brings together children and youth in both urban and rural areas, sports recreation programmed for the needs of particular groups.

It is expected that through the appropriate structure of teaching content of this study program students will acquire knowledge from theory of sport, psychology and pedagogy in sport, functional anatomy, physiology biochemistry, sport biomechanics, diagnosis in sports, teaching methodology, training technology, theory of sport training, conditioning of athletes and physical preparation of the sports techniques and tactics in sports and other relevant fields and issues in modern sport.

Students will acquire professional competencies that are based on the adopted theoretical knowledge and skills for the jobs of programming and realization of sports training and competition, and the application of modern models of individual and team-pedagogical work with athletes of various ages and sport preferences.

Students have internship in the last month of the final semester in leading associations and clubs, with which the Faculty has signed cooperation agreements in order to give them the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and experience from the most competent experts.

Student internship is conducted in the last month of the final semester within leading sports organizations and media houses, with which the Faculty has signed a cooperation agreement. This type of teaching is carried out in collaboration with: the Olympic Committee of Serbia, Sports Association of Serbia, Paralympic Committee of Serbia, Institute of Sports and Sports Medicine of the Republic of Serbia, Association of Serbian Coaches, Serbian umbrella sports organizations, as well as sports media houses: Sport Journal, Sport Daily News, Sport FM Radio Station and Sport Club TV Channel. In this way, students have the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and experience from the most competent national and international experts, with the aim of approaching their future professions in sport during their studies.

Tuition at the Faculty of Sport covers the costs of registration, exams, certificates, scripts and textbooks, additional educational facilities and insurance. The entrance exam is free.
In cooperation with a commercial bank, favorable credit terms of tuition are enabled, including simple procedure of approval, favorable interest rate and fixed dinar instalment.
