Study programme Master in Coaching in Sport is designed in accordance with the Bologna Declaration. The programme lasts one academic year and successful students earn 60 credits or ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) and obtain a degree.

The purpose of the master degree program Coaching in Sport is to provide students with adequate and quality knowledge in the field of theoretical foundations of sport and sports training, psychology of sport and physical activity, planning and programming of sports training, risk sports training and injury prevention, modern technologies in the conditioning of athletes, selected sports biomechanics, and also to train students for practical and scientific research in physical education and sport.

Subjects in this study program are expertly chosen. After passing the exams, students become able to participate in solving practical problems in the area of physical education and sport, they use their knowledge and skills incorporated into the team work on monitoring and application of new scientific discoveries in this field.

The system of education at the Faculty of Sport is formatted according to the Bologna matrix studies and includes an interactive small group teaching, mentoring in English (optional), workshops, panels, seminars, clinics, project development etc.

This study program consists of compulsory and elective subjects. In accordance with the standards for a number of subjects in the study program, a part of the course is mandatory, while some subjects are optional (at least 30% of the total number of ECTS). This allows students to get into electoral modules and opt for subjects and areas that they want to study, depending on their sphere of interests and preferences. The very elective modules are designed in a way that the selection of any subject leads to the goal, i.e. to supplementing or expansion of general as well as specialized knowledge in the field of physical education and sport.
